Cancellation Policy:
A company or individual may cancel a class without penalty by
calling CP Technologies at least 30 days prior to
the start date of the class. If a company or
individual cancels a class less than 30 days, but more
than 15 days prior to the start date, there will be a
50% cancellation fee. Course fees are
nonrefundable less than 15 days prior to the start date
of the class.
Rescheduling Policy:
Classes close 15 days prior to the start date of the class. If we receive your request to reschedule before classes close you may reschedule to a later date at no charge. After the closing date, confirmed participants who do not attend the scheduled class are liable for the entire
course fee. We will reschedule you if we are able to find a suitable replacement for your seat in the class from our Move Up, Waiting, or Standby lists.
There will be a $59.00 rescheduling fee to partially cover administrative costs.
Substitution Policy:
Substitution of attendees that meet prerequisite requirements for that class may be made with reasonable notice and a completed Pre-Training Assessment Form.
No Show Policy:
If a company or individual does not attend a class and does not give
sufficient notice to find a suitable replacement to
take their seat, the company or individual will be assessed a 100% "no show" fee.
Exceptions to the above:
We recognize that there may be extenuating circumstances e.g. illness, death in the family, etc., that might prevent someone from attending a class. In this case we will put that person on a Standby List for a future class.
Class Cancellations:
Although it only happens extremely rarely, CP Technologies reserves the right to cancel a course for which there are an insufficient number of registered attendees, weather or other circumstances beyond our control. Fees paid will be refunded or credited in full for any cancelled course.
Inclement Weather Policy:
CP Technologies seldom cancels classes due to bad weather and we make such decisions on a case by case basis. We are more inclined to delay a class by an hour or two rather than to cancel it altogether. If you are not comfortable traveling to our facility in bad weather we will put you on the Standby List for a future class.
What are Move Up, and Standby Lists?
Move Up List, occasionally someone will register for a class and ask to be moved up to an earlier class if one becomes available. Standby List, someone will be put on the Standby List if they could not attend a class and did not notify us in sufficient time to find someone else to take their seat in that class. In the event we have an empty seat in a class we go to the Move Up, and Standby lists in that order. Typically, these seats become available on short notice usually within less than 48 hours of the start date of the class.
Why do we need these policies?
We think it is important to keep our classes small, our equipment up to date and our prices as low as possible. We simply cannot meet all three requirements and have the same cancellation policies as companies that allow 20, 30, 40 or more people in a class or companies that might ask people to share computers, or not provide computers at all. We do not want an individual or a company to lose money because someone could not attend a class. The other side of that is we do not want to have larger classes, older equipment or raise prices because we have empty seats in our classes.
What can you do if you think you might not be able to attend a class?
Let us know as early as possible. There might be someone on the Move Up List that can take your seat on short notice. Nothing pleases us more than knowing we are able to accommodate two people. If we can put someone else in your seat we will reschedule you for a later class for a small fee to partially offset the administrative costs.
If you must miss a class you or your company paid for we will do everything in our power to get you into a class. You just have to be flexible. Because class size is limited to only eight students these
policies and deadlines will be strictly adhered to.
