20-20 Design One-On-One Training

What is One-On-One Training?

One-On-One training makes it possible for a designer to work alone, One-On-One, with a qualified 20-20 trainer. It is an alternative to our classroom training or On-Site training where 20-20 training is conducted with a group of 5 to 7 other people.

Who should consider One-On-One training?

Anyone that thinks they would have a more positive and productive training experience working alone with a 20-20 trainer rather than training with a group.  Even if it is a small group, some people simply are not comfortable or do not learn well in a group environment.  Though classroom training or on-site training with a small group is cost effective, it may not be the best way for you to learn to use 20-20 Design software.

One-On-One training is a good solution for experienced kitchen and bath designers that are coming to Computer Aided Design later in their careers and want to improve or update their skills.

It is also a good choice for people that are self-taught but suspect that they have gaps in their knowledge that would help them become more more productive.

Can One-On-One training be done at my location?

No. In order to keep the cost affordable and minimize unproductive instructor travel time and expenses we only offer One-On-One at our training center or online.  One-On-One training at our training center has the advantage of taking you away from the inevitable and unavoidable interruptions and distractions at your office.

Onsite training is available is available on a per quote basis for companies that feel Onsite training would better meet their needs.

Can I use my own computer for my training?

Yes, but 20-20 Design should be installed and working properly before the training.  Your 20-20 trainer is not trained to diagnose computer hardware or software installation problems.  If your computer or 20-20 software is not working properly you should consult with the hardware vendor or 20-20 Technical Support prior to the training.

Can I use my own manufacturer’s 20-20 catalog?

Yes, however, it is with the understanding you should be thoroughly familiar with that particular manufacturer's 20-20 catalog. There are hundreds of manufacturers' 20-20 catalogs available in North America and they are all different to varying degrees. It is impossible for any 20-20 Trainer to be familiar with all of them.

How many people can participate in a One-On-One training?

One-On-One training is exactly that, one designer working alone with one trainer.  It is not to be confused with CP Technologies On-Site Training or Private Training for groups of up to six. Remember, the reason you scheduled a One-On-One training was to be able to have private instruction.

Who is the trainer?

One-On-One training is conducted by an experienced 20-20 trainer that has completed comprehensive training on 20-20 Design software and has further demonstrated an aptitude for working One-On-One with designers that either are new to computer aided design or want to add to their existing knowledge of 20-20 Design software to become more productive salespeople.

How long is One-On-One training?

One-On-One training typically runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with one hour for lunch and two fifteen minute breaks.  This totals 6 1/2 half hours of actual training time.

What can I do to make my training more successful?

In addition to completing a pre-training assessment form we encourage you to submit a list of questions or topics you would like to cover during your One-On-One training.  If already using 20-20 Design you should also submit 2 floor plans you have done for your trainer’s review.  This should be done not less than 15 working days prior to the scheduled training date to help your instructor be better prepared for your training.

What else should I do to make my training more successful?

Be realistic when setting your goals for the your One-On-One training. Be sure you have allowed adequate time for the topics you would like to cover.  If your preference is to work on your own designs with an instructor remember that a design that takes 4 hours still takes four hours plus the added time for instruction and answering questions.
